History Of the Earthmoving Contractors Association of Texas
Founded in 1958 as the Conservation Contractors Association of Texas, addressing industry challenges and promoting land improvement practices. In 1977, it became the Texas Chapter of the National Land Improvement Contractors of America (LICA). By 1993, ECAT reorganized to focus on state-specific issues, advocating for policies that support Texas contractors and championing soil and water conservation. With a legacy of legislative achievements and community initiatives, ECAT continues to empower contractors and shape the future of the earthmoving industry in Texas.
